Decorated Burial Chambers of the Old Kingdom
تاريخ الاصدار
اسم المؤلف Naguib Kanawati
نبذه تعريفية

The burial chamber, decorated or un-decorated, is practically the tomb, while the chapel is the place for the funerary rituals to be maintained and for the offerings to be presented.

Yet some scenes and inscriptions in the burial chambers are particularly colorful and being protected from the elements.

The colours have, in some instances, retained their freshness. The burial chamber of Mereruka, the vizier and son-in-law of King Teti appeared in earlier publications, but mostly in black and white photographs. Yet the scenes on the east wall of this chamber have retained an extraordinary amount of their colours.
